Featured Products

Soybean is one of those things people have heard about, but don’t always use regularly at home. It’s mostly known for oil or packaged products, but the whole bean itself is not that common in everyday cooking.
At Prakritii Organics, these soybean seeds come from farms where no chemical fertilisers or pesticides are used. They’re also non-GMO, which matters more in soy compared to many other crops. For people already trying to switch to organic vegetables or looking for better options like organic vegetables in Mumbai or organic vegetables in Pune, adding something like this is just another step towards cleaner food.
It’s not something you’ll use daily like tur dal, but once you start, it does have its place in regular meals.

Health Benefits & Nutrition

Soybeans are known for one main reason — protein. And not just regular plant protein, but complete protein. That basically means it has all the essential parts your body needs.
That’s why a lot of people who don’t eat meat try to include soy in their diet.
Apart from that, it also has fibre, some healthy fats, and minerals like iron and calcium. So overall, it’s quite a strong addition if you’re trying to eat better.
That said, it’s not something you need in large amounts. Even small portions are enough.

How to Use & Storage

Soybeans need a bit of preparation. You’ll have to soak them overnight, otherwise they take too long to cook.
After soaking, you can pressure cook them until soft. Once cooked, you can use them in sabzi, mix them with rice, or even mash them into cutlets or patties.
Some people also sprout soybeans, though it takes a bit longer compared to moong.
It’s not the quickest ingredient, but it’s flexible once you get used to it.
For storage, keep it in an airtight container in a dry place. It stays good for a long time.

Are Prakritii's organic soybean seeds non-GMO?

Yes. Our organic soybean seeds are sourced from certified organic farms that prohibit the use of GMO seeds. Organic certification in India requires non-GMO sourcing as a fundamental standard.

Is soybean a complete protein?

Yes — soybean is one of the very few plant foods that provides all nine essential amino acids in meaningful quantities, making it a complete protein equivalent to animal protein in terms of amino acid profile.

Can soybean seeds be eaten by women with hormonal concerns?

Soy isoflavones (phytoestrogens) have been extensively studied. The current scientific consensus is that moderate consumption of whole soy foods is safe and beneficial for most women, including those with a history of hormone-sensitive conditions. However, anyone with specific hormonal concerns should consult their doctor before consuming soy regularly.

How long do organic soybeans take to cook?

After soaking for 8–12 hours, organic soybeans require 6–8 pressure cooker whistles on medium heat to become completely tender. Without soaking, cooking time increases significantly and texture may be less even.

Can I sprout organic soybean seeds at home?

Yes. Soak for 12 hours, drain, and keep in a damp muslin cloth or sprouting jar for 36–48 hours, rinsing every 12 hours. Soybean sprouts are nutritionally rich, enzyme-active, and have a mild, clean flavour suitable for salads and light cooking.
